I have been a qualified and practicing massage therapist since 2007 following the completion of a diploma in Holistic Therapeutic Massage with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

Immediately afterwards, I went on to study with Jing Advanced Massage & Training where I completed a course in Foundation Holistic Medical Massage. This course single handedly changed my practice and sparked my passion for working with and helping people suffering from pain.

I was taught how to incorporate volcanic basalt stone therapy into my massage practice following the completion of a workshop with Rosslyn Alternatives and both myself and my clients find the stones a very beneficial tool for the treatment of chronic muscle pain and fatigue.

I have graduated with diplomas in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy in 2012,  Advanced Remedial Massage in 2015  and most recently in 2016 with the highest level of training available in Scotland, Orthopaedic Massage & Manipulation.  Over the last 4 years my continued study has been with the Advanced Massage Techniques School who are affiliated with the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation.

Achieving this level of massage qualification has given me the skills to assess and treat advanced musculoskeletal conditions.

Prior to studying massage therapy I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2001 with a BSc in Biomedical Science, following which, I pursued a career in research. This gave me a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology and helped compliment my development as a massage therapist in addition to strengthening my desire to use that knowledge to assist people out of pain.
