What does dry needling involve?

Dry needling or ‘medical acupuncture’ uses modern scientific understanding of anatomy and physiology whilst incorporating the use of traditional acupuncture needles.

What are the benefits?

Dry needling involves the insertion of acupuncture needles into Myofascial Trigger points.  These painful trigger points located within the muscle, have been shown in numerous studies, including (Gerwin 2010), to be responsible for up to 85% of musculoskeletal pain.

This intramuscular manual therapy, facilitates an anti-inflammatory immune reaction to bring about self-healing and internal balance.
